He Puts a clothespin in his ear for a VERY GOOD reason. Have you ever tried it?

I’m not the type to run to the doctor at the first sign of ache or pain. After all, suffering is inevitable. Instead, I’d rather believe that I have some manage over how my body functions.

Naturally, I was skeptical, but also very curious, when I first heard about this novel approach to providing mild pain relief using one’s ears.

I can’t always take a break to stretch in the middle of my office, and I know the doctor won’t be able to fix it every time, but surely putting a clothespin in my ear will help? It may be strange to hear, but giving it a shot is really easy. Is it not worth putting it to the test?

Reflexology in the ear, using a clothespin or simply the pressure of your fingers, can help alleviate pain, though it shouldn’t be used in place of professional medical care.

Each of these six different ear points is associated with pain in a different part of the body. You can alleviate pain by applying pressure to each point.

1. Back and shoulders

The upper part of the ear is directly connected to the back and shoulders. Tension can be relieved by using a clothespin for one minute. If you suffer from back or shoulder pain, try doing this several times a day.
